KNOWLEDGE AND STRATEGIES AND SOCIAL SKILLS TO SUCCEED IN COLLEGE
ADD Health and Wellness
Center’s college prep workshop will help high school seniors prepare for the demands and expectations of college. Learn how certain strategies, skills and tools will help ensure a positive college experience and attribute to improved study habits and overall learning. These skills and strategies will not only help them succeed in college but will provide long-term benefits as they enter the work force and begin careers as successful professionals.
Impulsiveness, inattentiveness, forgetfulness and distractibility are symptoms of ADHD that can interfere with a college student’s social interaction. Students require the ability to read social rules and match one’s conduct to those rules. To achieve this the student must learn to listen, pay attention, self-observe, and then self correct and adjust one’s own behavior according to the situation.
